LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The big game in Lubbock featuring two undefeated teams, Midland Greenwood (2-0) at Estacado (2-0)
On the Matadors first possession, Deverick Stubblefield finds Jalen Moore down the sideline and he has to slow up and goes down deep in ranger's territory with a 50 yard gain. That led to an Augustine Abigid touchdown. Estacado took the leads seven to zero. Greenwood takes over and quarterback Kam Williams is sacked by Terrell Glenn for a big loss. Later greenwood 4th and goal from the two yard line and Williams airs it out and it falls incomplete. Estacado takes over. With Eight seconds left in the first quarter, lightning strikes within 3 miles of Lowrey Field so the teams head to the lockroom for a weather delay.
When they resumed the Greenwood Rangers took advantage of a turnover. Williams hits Kater King and he bowls into the end zone. Making the score seven to seven. Estacado led 19-7 at the half
In the third quarter the Matadors option right and pitch to Augustin Abigide. Augustin makes an outstanding run for 46 yards, his 4th touchdown of the night. The final score would be a lopsided 39-7 Estacado over Midland Greenwood. The Matadors are still undefeated.
