LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - An official historic landmark in Brownfield was badly burned Friday. That's according to the Brownfield News web site. The online article says the fire started in a back room of the Brownfield Power Plant's northwest corner. Workers had been trying to salvage generators inside, which were once used to power the city of Brownfield. The website did not list the cause of the fire and did not list any injuries.
