23 year-old Laura Putnam was presumed dead after the boat she was in, was broad sided in a hit and run collision Memorial Day weekend.
Putnam was thrown into the water, and her body was never found. Sunday's discovery was made three-quarters of a mile away from the site of the collision, at Lake LBJ, near Horseshoe Bay.
Authorities in the Horseshoe Bay area are still searching for the suspect hit-and-run boat. It's described as a white speed boat, with a red or dark stripe. They also believe the boat sustained front end damage in the collision.
