LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - It's been a busy week of local MMA action. Eric Big Head Davila won on shark fights pay per view card beating Pete Spratt by submission in the second round on Saturday.

Tuesday morning NewsChannel 11's Sports Director Pet Christy met UFC fighter Nate Quarry who was in town to talk about chronic back pain.

MMA legend Royce Gracie is once again back in Lubbock at Pittman's Brazilian Jui Jitzi on 34th Street for seminars Tuesday and Wednesday at 5:30 p.m..

A record crowd of over 210 people have signed up to learn from a man who tapped Pete out in 33 seconds back in a 2007 I beat Pete challenge.

"Grace Jui Jitzi is growing all over the world." said MMA legend Royce Gracie. "I'm just doing my job passing through making shore everyone is on the right track. Clay is doing an awesome job teaching these guys. I'm coming over just to review. Everybody is doing well."
