Play Village Pavilions Come With Cost

The Legacy Play Village is fun for all ages, and usually free of charge, however there is one exception.

Legacy Play Village is available for private parties, there also three pavilions available for private gatherings. Both, however, require a reservation with the city, and for a fee.

"There are times when the pavilions are open but if someone has paid for that location there are no squatters rights. You have to give that location up to the person who has a pink slip," said Julia Camp, Legacy Play Village Coordinator.

These rentals are the park's only source of income for maintenance. For more information on park or pavilion rental call the City of Lubbock Parks and Rec Department at (806) 775-2687.

If you would like to volunteer your time for routine park maintenance, call (806) 793-9254.
