LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A man suspected of shooting three people, including two Ector County Sheriff's Deputies, is now in custody after a stand off with Odessa law enforcement that lasted almost 24 hours.  More than 100 officers responded, including officers from Lubbock and Austin.

Police say the situation started Friday afternoon when a Luke Bedrick went to the home of Victor White, identified by police as the suspect, to repossess a trailer.  A deputy responded and according to police that's when White shot both Bedrick and Deputy Ricky Tijerina.  Later a second deputy responded was also shot.

Police say suspect stole the Deputy's radio and used it to threaten other officers.  Shots rang out through the night and the suspect was taken into custody Saturday at about 2:30 PM, after an explosion of thick black smoke.  White was arrested on his property.

DPS Troopers say White opened fire from a large dirt mound that had trenches, bunkers and fighting positions. The Texas Rangers will now lead the investigation.

The two wounded deputies were hospitalized in stable condition.  Bedrick was treated and released.
