Rabies case confirmed in Hale County

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Rabies is confirmed in Hale County.  The Plainview Daily reports that a skunk with rabies was found two weeks ago northwest of Plainview.  Rabies is deadly in humans.  If a person is bit by an animal that has not been vaccinated, either the animal has to be tested for rabies or the person has to undergo a series of shots.
