BROWNFIELD, TX (KCBD) - On Wednesday, the Brownfield community will welcome a new business to town.

A Missouri-based company will officially open Landmark-Brownfield. The business will use local cotton gin waste to make a product called hydro-mulch, which is used to control erosion, and regrow plants.

State Representative Joe Heflin will attend the opening ceremonies.

The plant will be located two miles west of Brownfield, at 1641 U.S. Highway 380.
