August fire destroys Houston's voting machines; Lubbock comes through

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Houston voters will cast their November ballot on Lubbock machines.

County Commissioners approved an agreement Tuesday afternoon allowing Harris County to borrow some of Lubbock's voting equipment. Commissioners also decided they will not charge Harris County for the machines.

This follows an August 27th fire that destroyed almost all of Harris County's machines. The cause of that fire remains under investigation.
