Lubbock Adds School Zones to Rush and Estacado

Lubbock City Council members have approved speed zone changes in two Lubbock school zones.

Recently, NewsChannel 11's Streets of Speed crew pointed out the lack of school zones near Rush Elementary. At the time, the city had plans to add school zones to both Rush Elementary and Estacado High School.

Thursday's vote changes the speed at Rush Elementary from 30 to 20 miles per hour. And to 30 miles per hour at Estacado.
