LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – Texas Tech announced on its Athletic Department Facebook page that a new big screen is going up in Jones AT&T stadium. The posting indicates that the new screen will be 10 to 12 feet wider than the current one.
The posting says, "The Jones will have a new, larger Raidervision in place on the north end for the game on Oct. 16 vs. OSU!"
According to that same Facebook post eventually there will be a new screen about three times larger than the current "Raidervision" screen at the south end. Some of Texas Tech's Facebook fans are urging Tech to preserve the big Double T scoreboard as the new giant Raidervision is built in the future.
So what will happen to the Double T? "We don't know yet," says a spokesman for the Athletic Department. "There's still a lot of planning that has to be done."
