A Lubbock man is recovering from critical injuries after he was involved in a hit and run collision. The man was driving a brown Buick with a female passenger inside. They were heading north on University when police say a Honda hit the Buick as it turned north on to University from 79th St. A witness then followed the Honda as it left the accident scene.
Police were called to 81st and Boston where the Honda parked. A woman and her male passenger were both arrested for failing to render aid. Police say the woman also had a suspended license and a warrant for a previous traffic violation.
The driver of the Buick remains in the hospital, his injuries are not considered to be life threatening. No one else was injured in the incident.
