A Lubbock venue is one step closer to construction after a generous donation. Dallas based oil company, Alon-Fina presented a $150,000 check to the Lubbock City Council. The money will help fund the new amphitheater in Mackenzie Park.
The facility will cost $2.3 million to build. Other funds supporting the venue come from a $1.7 million bond passed by voters as well as other private donations. Construction is expected to begin in October.
