LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – Tonight, 5 million containers of baby formula have been recalled voluntarily because they may contain bug parts. Any liquid formula is okay, but it's the Similac in powder form that may contain small beetles or larvae.

The recall from Abott Labs includes these two types of Similac containers. They are sold in either plastic or in cans and in various sizes.

The FDA says there is no immediate danger associated with the recalled formula. Babies drinking that may wind up with a stomach ache, but no lasting harmful effects.  Abbott Labs says it decided to voluntarily issue the recall of Similac powdered baby formula since it did not meet quality standards.
