Undefeated Abilene Cooper hosts Coronado tonight

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A week after blanking Lubbock High 43-0, undefeated Abilene Cooper hosts Coronado tonight. Cooper has been able to score at will on opponents while Coronado tasted victory for the first time last week against Wichita Falls Rider. It's yet another tough test for Butch Henderson's boys.

"Everybody we play is a really good football team," said Coronado Head Coach Butch Henderson. "One of the things that you do when you win, is you take the things you did do well, the things that executed well, and you begin to build confidence because you look and concentrate on the things you did good. I think that's the carry-over into this next week. I thought offensively, we moved the ball really well. When you have over 500 yards of offense, you come in with young men starting to execute. Then you flip that over and the defensive side of the ball, I thought we really made great strides. We had three big stands late in the ball game. One that held them to a field goal and was the difference in the game, and two series where you get them stopped at the end"
