Downtown bus station gets facelift with TxDOT grant

By James Clark | email

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock's downtown bus station gets a facelift thanks in part to a TxDOT grant.  On Monday, City Council will consider a $673,000 grant from the Texas Department of Transportation.  Ultimately the grant money comes from the federal government.  It includes both renovation and a special addition to the downtown transfer station, which had only handled Citibus until 2008 but now also handles Greyhound buses.

Also on Monday's City Council agenda is the purchase of three pumper trucks for the Lubbock Fire Department at a cost of $1.3 million.
