LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Monday night at the South Plains Fair will be a night one Lubbock couple won't ever forget.
Brad Loewen asked his girlfriend Anna Scrimshire to take a ride on the Ferris Wheel at the fair, but he waited till it got to the top and was stopped before he decided to ask her a very important question.
"I'm really scared of heights so I was already a little nervous up there and then Brad asked me to marry him and of course it was just a rush of emotions and it was very overwhelming but it was all tears and happiness," said Scrimshire.
Brad says he wasn't nervous at all.
"I love her she's just awesome. I really wouldn't want anyone else to be with," said Loewen.
The happy couple has been dating for more than three years, and because Anna is still a college student they say they will start planning their wedding next year.
