LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The annual Go Texan Restaurant Roundup began Monday with eateries all over Texas, including some in Lubbock.  The event is a chance to showcase home-grown Texas products including meat, produce seafood and wine.

As part of the event the Glazed Honey Ham company of Lubbock is featuring a Southwest Club sandwich with roast beef, turkey and bacon.

Matt Laycock with Glazed Honey Ham says there is a lot of demand for Texas products.  "We get a lot of customers that come in and say 'I want to take something back to Louisiana from Texas or I have family members outside of the state that I want to take Texas products to'"

All this week, KCBD NewsChannel 11 will be featuring participants in the Go Texan event.  Look for live reports by Christie Post during Daybreak Today

Some restaurants are donating a portion of their proceeds this week to worthy cause such as the South Plains Food Bank.  (CLICK HERE) to see the Go Texan section of KCBD.com
