LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - An active shooter situation on the UT Austin campus Tuesday morning has caused the cancellation of Tuesday morning's scheduled test of the TechAlert! system.

Although the situation in Austin is still evolving, Tuesday morning's TechAlert! test will be rescheduled at a later date.

Texas Tech University has implemented TechAlert!, an Emergency Alert Notification System to communicate important alerts and emergency response information to students, faculty and staff.
