LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - An active shooter situation on the UT Austin campus Tuesday morning has caused the cancellation of Tuesday morning's scheduled test of the TechAlert! system.
Although the situation in Austin is still evolving, Tuesday morning's TechAlert! test will be rescheduled at a later date.
Texas Tech University has implemented TechAlert!, an Emergency Alert Notification System to communicate important alerts and emergency response information to students, faculty and staff.
TTU President Guy Bailey wants to remind the Tech community that it is vital to keep your information updated so you can be reached as quickly as possible. You can verify and update your information at www.emergency.ttu.edu.
