LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Martha Ellerbrook versus City of Lubbock civil trial that was on the docket for Monday has instead been rescheduled to October 12th. Officials say the delay was necessary because the Lubbock federal court was busy with another trial that was still ongoing from last week.
Ellerbrook sued the city prior to being hired as Director of Animal Control Services in March, claiming that was passed over for a job in February 2007 as retaliation because her husband, Lubbock's Director of Solid Waste Terry Ellerbrook, sued the city and settled out of court.
