Lubbock Cooper South teacher receives award

Posted: Updated:

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock Cooper Elementary teacher is called an unsung hero by her school and a Nationwide Corporation gave her 1,000 reasons to smile.

Tuesday morning, Office Max surprised Cooper South Elementary Kindergarten teacher Annette Nanny with their "A Day Made Better" award. It is a one-day event that honors 1,100 teachers across the nation. There were only a handful of other teachers in Texas to receive the award.

Nanny was awarded $1,000 in school supplies.
