On friday a Lubbock grand jury handed down a Capital Murder Indictment, 15 years after the crime. In 1988 Damon Richardson was convicted for ordering the shooting deaths of 22-year-old Napolean Ellison, 32-year-old Vivian Webb and 25-year-old Quinnie Smith. But Texas' highest appeals court overturned the conviction and ordered a new trial.
So, today a new grand jury indicted Richardson, but only for the deaths of Ellison and Webb. He is currently being held on $1-million bond.
