LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - I-27 drivers had to find an alternate route Tuesday afternoon near the Interstate and North Loop 289.
A semi-truck hauling cotton from a gin in Lamesa, was pulled apart by the weight of the load and blocked traffic from the Interstate onto the north Loop just before Noon.
The driver of the truck says this is not a common occurrence. "I just took off and made my turn like normal and all of sudden the trailer collapsed right in the center there," said Theresa Lucera, truck driver.
There were no reports of injuries.
