LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Hundreds of people packed Kingsgate South Wednesday morning for the grand opening of a new farmers market.
Sun-Harvest Farmer's Market officially opened its doors at 9 a.m. at 82nd and Quaker Avenue. People started lining up at 4 a.m. Wednesday morning to get a chance at some free groceries.
"Kinda excited to be one of the first ones in especially since they're giving away two free bags of the free goodies and good jazz," said Tallen Stephenson, one of the first 200 customers.
The first 200 customers received two free bags of pre selected groceries. The 200th person went through the doors at 7:30 a.m. Their official ribbon cutting didn't happen until 8:45 a.m.
