LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Today will be the last meeting the Lubbock Independent School District will hold on the proposed $198 million bond that will be on the November 2nd ballot.
According to LISD, this decision for the bond was based upon the recommendations of a committee comprised of approximately 30 citizens representing all areas of the community. The committee's recommendation was based upon a comprehensive assessment of every facility in the district and a detailed analysis of student demographic patterns.
Informational bond meetings have been held to explain to the public where the money will go. If you are interested in attending the last meeting, it is Wednesday, October 13th at 6 p.m. in the Coronado High School auditorium.
