LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Wouldn't it be great to get a tan without the exposure to harmful UV rays? That's what scientists are working on at Massachusetts General Hospital. They say they've found a way to bypass ultraviolet exposure, and still increase the skin's pigmentation.
At least in lab mice, they've learned how to alter a molecular switch that boosts skin color. They haven't learned how to penetrate human skin yet, but they're working on it.
