LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A new study finds out that yoga may help reduce the symptoms of fibromyalgia. Researchers at Oregon Health and Science University tested an eight week yoga program on a group of women with fibromyalgia, a disorder marked by chronic, widespread pain.
After the program, the women reported significantly less pain, fatigue, and depression than women in a control group, who only got the standard medications used for fibromyalgia. The yoga participants reported 24-percent less pain, 30-percent less fatigue, and 42-percent less depression.
