High School marching bands take the field for UIL competition

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A total of thirty-nine area high school marching bands will compete at the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Marching Contest.

Lubbock ISD is hosting the contest at Lowrey Field. Bands from 1A through 5A will participate in the day-long event. The first band takes the field at 9 a.m. with the final band beginning their performance at 8 p.m.

The event is open to the public with a small admission fee, $3 for adults and $1 for children.
