Fund set up to help pay medical expenses for woman hit by pickup

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A fund has been set up to help a woman hit by a pickup last week near Quaker and South Loop 289.

Lubbock Police say just before 9:00, 67-year-old Jerry Martin was driving a 2010 white F-150 East., crossing Quaker avenue at South Loop 289 at the same time 51-year-old Mary Bowles was crossing the street.

Police say she suffered serious head injuries and she is currently listed in critical condition.

A fund has been set up to help Mary with medical expenses. Donations can be made at any Wells Fargo Bank.

Officials tell KCBD NewsChannel 11 the accident is still being investigated.
