Federal officials say Texas could be the next target of terror threats.
Investigators at the department of homeland security say they eavesdropped on conversations with al Qaeda operatives that discussed potential terrorism in Texas for the July 4th weekend.
Tom Vinger of the Texas Department of Safety says it is important for the people to know of such threats. "I think you have to take them seriously but you also have to look at all the information. In this case it very non-specific, very vague so its very difficult to take precise appropriate reaction."
According to a Houston chronicle report, concerns are the attack could involve oil or gas facilities or pipelines. However these latest threats have not yet been found to be credible.
