United Blood Services has issued a critical appeal for O- and O+ blood.

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – Type O blood is the most common blood type of all, but right now, there is none to be found at United Blood Services. That means they're having trouble filling hospital orders, so UBS is making a critical appeal tonight for both O positive and O negative blood.

You must be at least 16 years old, and in good health to give blood. If you can help, UBS is taking donations tomorrow from 9 to 4, or Saturday from 9 until 2.

You'll find UBS at 48th and University, or you can call 797-6804 to make an appointment.

The UBS hours during the week are: 

MONDAY - 9:00 TILL 4:30

TUESDAY - 12:00 TILL 7:00

WEDNESDAY - 9:00 TILL 4:30

THURSDAY - 12:00 TILL 7:00

FRIDAY - 9:00 TILL 4:00

SATURDAY - 9:00 TILL 2:00
