LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – More than 200 UMC employees are walking this weekend in the fight against heart disease and stroke. They're hoping you'll join them because most of the money raised in the American Heart Association's annual heart walk stays right here at Texas Tech University to provide valuable research and education.

The walk itself inspires everyone to take that first step toward a stronger, healthier life. The event will also feature children's activities, a pet area, team photos and much more.

The heart walk starts at the Frazier Pavilion, and winds through the Tech campus on Saturday morning from 8:30 to Noon.
