Texas Parks & Wildlife Restock Buffalo Springs Fish Population

Earlier this year, an outbeak of golden algae killed a large number of fish at Buffalo Springs Reservoir, but now the fish population is back up.

Wednesday afternoon, Texas Parks and Wildlife dumped more than 22,000 Largemouth Bass Fingerlings into the lake.

Almost 2,000 Striped Bass were already added earlier this month. And later this fall, adult Croppie and Bluegill will be brought in to establish a breeding population.
