LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock City council held a rare Saturday special session to possibly end a pending lawsuit.  Behind closed doors council members discussed a proposed settlement with AAG/Icon, which was the city's health insurance administrator from 2004 through 2006.  The company was formerly controlled by Lubbock businessman Ted Parker.   After about an hour, city council decided not to take any action just yet.

City Attorney Sam Medina said, "This matter is still pending litigation.  I would not recommend any action that this council take today."

This issue will be back on the table for discussion this Thursday during the regular City Council meeting.
