LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The fall months bring an increase in deer activity and a KCBD NewsChannel 11 captured some that activity on video Saturday at Roscoe Wilson Elementary School, 2800 block of 25th Street.

The video shows two Lubbock police officers trying to keep a deer from running onto the roads.   Deer have also been reported in the Clapp Park area, near 40th & University Avenue.

Officials are advising motorists to be keep a close eye on the roads and watch out for deer.  If you see one then they say the odds are pretty good there are others nearby.  According to TxDOT, more than 7,000 animal related crashes happened last year.
