LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A house fire in Central Lubbock led to a dramatic rescue effort.  No people were hurt by the fire at 2:16 PM in the 3000 block of 24th street, but a house cat appeared to have been lost.  Crews at the scene put the cat on an oxygen mask and revived it.

It took a little more than 45 minutes to put out the fire.  The Fire Marshal's office has been asked to investigate the cause.
