LEVELLAND, TX (KCBD) - The Hockley County jail no longer fails to meet state standards. News broke in August that state regulators gave Hockley County a failing grade. But Friday morning the jail passed a re-inspection.
According to a written statement, "The Hockley County Sheriff's Office has completed an overhaul of the record keeping and detention procedures." That same statement goes on to say that the Texas Commission on Jail Standards approved the overhaul "by Issuing a Certificate of Compliance".
