Trick or treaters looked for canned goods, not candy Sunday night

Posted: Updated:

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock Cooper high school students are "trick-or-treating" for hunger.  They're going door-to-door to pick up canned food donations for the South Plains Food Bank.  Residents in their target areas were asked to leave goods on the porch for pick up.

Andy West, Lubbock Cooper Senior, says "Its important to see how we as high school students can reach out to the community because it's a big part of our lives to see how we can help out others and not just think about ourselves."

If they didn't knock on your door, you can still help  by bringing canned goods to Lubbock Cooper High School on Monday during school hours.
