South Plains areas may see their first frost of the season

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Over the next few mornings areas of the South Plains will experience first frosts, or freezes, of the season. If you have temperature sensitive plants it is time to take precautions.

This morning mostly fair and chilly. This afternoon sunny, breezy, and cool. Wind gusts may reach 25 to 30 mph. Tonight clear and cold. Wednesday sunny with seasonable temperatures. Thursday begins cold, with freezing temperatures possible north and west of Lubbock, and possible frost in the Lubbock area. Thursday afternoon sunny and cool.

As of 7:45 a.m. Hart has been down to 31 degrees, Friona 33 and Muleshoe 34.
