Lubbock-Cooper Pirate Pride Band advances to State UIL competition

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Lubbock-Cooper Pirate Pride Band competed in the UIL Area Marching Contest this past Saturday. 

They were ranked 1st after the preliminary event and advanced to the finals where they held onto their 1st place ranking and qualified to advance to the UIL State Marching Contest is on November 1st at the Alamodome in San Antonio. This is the first time a band from Lubbock-Cooper has ever qualified for the State Marching Contest.

Band supporters and community members unable to travel to San Antonia can view results of prelims and finals in real time on the UIL web site at http://www.uil.utexas.edu.
