LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Mildred and Shirley L. Garrison Geriatric Education and Care Center will host its fourth annual fundraiser "Age d'Vine" on Thursday, October 28 at Caprock Winery. The event begins at 6:00 p.m., and The Garrison Ambassadors of the Garrison Center Development Council will serve as hosts.
The purpose of the event is to educate the community about the effects of aging and to raise awareness that resources such as the Garrison Center exist. Located on the campus of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, the Garrison Center is an example of collaboration between an established, renowned university and long standing senior-care Corporation. As many as 120 residents can benefit from this fully functional state-of-the-art long-term care center, where 60 beds are dedicated to traditional nursing care and 60 beds provide services to those with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia.
Tickets for Age d'Vine are available by reservation only and are $40 per person. For additional information, inquire about sponsorships or to purchase tickets, please contact the Garrison Center at (806) 763-4455.
