South Plains Temperature Change Ahead

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock yesterday set a record high of 90 degrees for the date! While Sunday afternoon will be quite warm, an approaching cold front will soon return temperatures to more seasonal values.

Halloween Sunday mostly sunny, with a gusty and warm afternoon. High in the low to mid 80s. By 7 PM the temperature will be in the low 70s, and will then fall into the 60s. A jacket may be needed after sunset.

Tonight partly cloudy and cooler. Low near 40 degrees.

Monday partly to mostly cloudy, breezy and much cooler with a high in the mid to upper 60s.

Election Day Tuesday partly cloudy and chilly. Morning low in the upper 30s and an afternoon high in the mid 60s.
