LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock police were called to an accident near 27th Street and Avenue Q Friday night where a vehicle hit a pedestrian. Police report the victim, Albert Gonzales, 54, went to University Medical with serious injuries where he later died.
Police say he was running across the intersection.
The accident backed up traffic in the area. In fact, congestion was so bad in that another accident happened while a KCBD photojournalist was on scene.
