LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock halfway house worker admits he lied to federal investigators. Mose Lewis was originally indicted for Sexual Abuse of a Ward, Abusive Sexual Contact, and False Statement. As part of plea bargain, Lewis admits to the false statement and prosecutors are dropping the other charges.
Lewis also admits as part of his plea deal that he engaged in certain sexual activities with one of the residents of the Dismas Charities Halfway House. Lewis also admits he got caught lying to federal investigators when questioned about the sexual contact. Lewis will be sentenced at a later date to no more than 8 years in prison.
