Candidates and supporters gather for prayer rally

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Candidates and supporters are gathering for a prayer rally one day before Election Day.

The rally was set up by the Republican Party headquarters in Lubbock, but it's a non-partisan prayer rally for all faiths. They're encouraging everyone to pray for our country and leaders before the big election Tuesday.

Candidate and Republican Incumbent Judge Tom Head will lead the prayer. Republican candidate for Sheriff, Kelly Rowe, will also say a special prayer for Detention Officer Tommy Lamkin. He was killed in a car accident over the weekend.

If you will be voting Tuesday, you can learn more about the candidates that are on your ballot by CLICKING HERE.

Tuesday night, the Lubbock County Democratic Party will be hosting an election night watch party at the Lantern Tavern from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m.

More than 35,000 people voted early this year in Lubbock County. You can text your zip code to 75044 to receive a message for the location of the closest voting center.

You do not have to go to a particular precinct to cast your ballot. There are 38 voting centers set up and you can vote at any one.
