Maximum Sentence for Saturday Bandit

A Lubbock man has been sentenced to close to 12 years in prison after holding up a bank in Austin. Federal prosecutors say 41-year-old Tim Gould committed three armed bank robberies in Lubbock, another in Amarillo and a final one in Austin over a two-year period. The bank heists netted him more than $750,000.

US District Judge Sam Sparks sentenced Gould to 11 years and nine months in prison, the maximum under federal sentencing guidelines. He still faces a nine-count federal indictment in the Lubbock and Amarillo robberies.
