UPDATE: Election day turnout steady

Posted: Updated:

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - As of 3:15 p.m., 9,278 voters have cast ballots in Lubbock County. 35,000 people voted early. That's about 22 percent more than the last comparable race in 2006, setting the stage for record turnout today.

Issues driving those numbers include a 198 million dollar L-I-S-D bond issue, Texas House District 84, and Texas Governor.

Voters can cast ballots at any one of 38 different locations in Lubbock. To find the closest voting center to you text your zip code to the number 75044. You will receive a text message with the three closest locations.
