Fire rekindles, destroys what was left of home before family could salvage anything

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock family is asking for your help after a fire last week destroyed their home.

Investigators say the cause of the fire on October 27th appears to be accidental. The family hoped to recover at least a few items but the fire rekindled and destroyed all that was left. "Six o'clock in the morning, I came home, thank God nobody was home, and my whole house was on fire," said Amy Pierce.

 Amy and her children have been staying at a local hotel. "All I know is we're out of a house, and I had just barely got this house, had it paid for, and everything, and now I have to start all over again."

The family hopes that someone can help them get a roll off dumpster. "It's only me and my three kids, and we don't have any clue one how to go about starting over or cleaning up."
