"My Father's House" Gets a Roof

In keeping with pioneer tradition, Lubbock's Habitat for Humanity helped raise a roof on Tuesday, all for a worthy cause.

"My Father's House" is located at South Loop 289 and Avenue P. The facility offers Christian Women's Job Corps training. The residence will house up to 30 low income women and their children, as they learn to become self-supporting.

The complex cost about $3.5 million dollars - and as you can imagine - an army of volunteers to build.
