South Plains Chapter to host annual Ducks Unlimited Banquet

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Ducks Unlimited, a national organization dedicated to the preservation of waterfowl habitats, has many members within the area. Lubbock is hosting the banquet for the South Plains Chapter.

The annual Ducks Unlimited Banquet will be held Tuesday, November 9, at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center Banquet Hall. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., dinner starts at 7:30 p.m., and the live auction takes center stage at 8:15 p.m.

Tickets are $45 per person or $60 per couple and the dress is hunter casual. Twenty-five guns are set to be raffled and auctioned away.

Ducks Unlimited was founded by a small group of sportsmen in 1937. The organization has since then conserved nearly 300,000 acres of the country's most critical breeding, migration and wintering habitats.
